On August 14, the Conference on High-Quality Development of the Medical Device Industry Going Global was held at Zhongguancun Life Science Park in Changping District. At the conference, the Changping District Administration for Market Regulation and the Beijing Chamber for Medical Device signed the "Beijing Medical Devices Going Global · Market Regulator Escort" Strategic Cooperation Memorandum, and Beijing's first compliance guidance service station for medical device enterprises going global was unveiled at the same time, marking a key step for Changping District in building an internationalized service system for the medical device industry.
As a professional public service platform for the medical device industry going global, the service station will focus on the medical device field, closely track changes in international technical regulations for medical devices, and provide enterprises with full-process services such as policy guidance, compliance counseling, platform matchmaking, professional training, and resource connection. It will also keep communication and feedback channels open for enterprises, broadly collect information on the technical trade barriers that enterprises encounter in the course of going global, and, based on the differing needs of individual enterprises, provide targeted, customized support such as overseas market assessment, guidance on regulations and certification, and the establishment of international channels - helping medical device enterprises break through international technical barriers and accelerate their global expansion.
In addition, the service station will focus on the difficulties faced by more than 1,000 medical device enterprises in Beijing in areas such as overseas registration, cross-border trade, foreign-related legal affairs, and advertising and marketing. It will form a specialized service team comprising international regulatory experts, foreign-related lawyers, and cross-border trade specialists, and will regularly survey enterprises' needs for going global. The station will provide "one-stop" services, including guidance on international certifications such as FDA approval, intellectual property risk warning and assistance, and thematic training and exchange on going global - further reducing enterprises' overseas compliance costs, shortening international registration cycles, and guarding against cross-border operating risks. By bringing professional international compliance services forward to the front line of the industry, the station will enhance the capability of Beijing's medical enterprises to go global and their level of international development.
