On July 25, 2026, the Symposium of China Association for Medical Devices Industry (CAMDI) on Work of Branch Organization Heads was held in Beijing. The symposium focused on studying and implementing policy documents, exchanging work experience, and jointly promoting the standardized and sound development of CAMDI and its branch organizations. President Jiang Deyuan chaired the symposium, which was attended by the heads of more than 40 branch organizations as well as staff from various departments of the CAMDI Secretariat.
At the symposium, Wang Fuliang, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Federation of Industrial Economics, delivered a policy briefing based on key documents, including the Implementation Plan for the Special Rectification of Irregularities Related to the Decoupling of National Industry Associations and Chambers of Commerce, the Negative List of Activities Related to the Decoupling of National Industry Associations and Chambers of Commerce, and the Administrative Measures for Branch Organizations and Representative Offices of Social Organizations. Through typical case studies, he provided an in-depth analysis of the prominent problems exposed by industry associations and chambers of commerce during self-inspection, self-correction, and supervisory checks, and offered guidance for the standardized and sound development of branch organizations. Secretary-General Yang Xiaofang reported on the recent work of the CAMDI Secretariat. The Vascular Devices Branch and the Medical Polymer Products Branch shared their experiences with the assembly. The heads of the various branch organizations engaged in extensive discussion centered on the theme of the symposium.
In his concluding remarks, President Jiang Deyuan set out clear requirements for the work of the branch organizations. First, they must strengthen the study of policy documents, remaining clear-headed in thinking and firm and self-conscious in action. They must conscientiously carry out self-inspection, self-correction, and self-improvement, and must always uphold the public-welfare, non-profit, standardized, and disciplined nature of their work. Second, they must strengthen professional study and research, gain a comprehensive and accurate understanding of the specific sub-sectors covered by their branch organizations, and, focusing on foundational, overarching, bottleneck, and forward-looking issues, carry out their work creatively with clear priorities. Third, they must further strengthen ties between CAMDI headquarters and its branch organizations, and while improving services, also strengthen management, work in unity, and wholeheartedly serve members, enterprises, and the industry - making new contributions to promoting the high-quality development of the medical device industry.
