International Exchange: KMDIA Chairman Kim Young-min and His Delegation Visit CAMDI

On January 6, 2026, Chairman Kim Young-min of the Korea Medical Devices Industry Association (KMDIA) and his delegation visited the China Association for Medical Devices Industry (CAMDI). Jiang Deyuan, incoming President, Yang Xiaofang, Deputy Secretary-General, and relevant department heads from the CAMDI side received the Korean delegation and held cordial and friendly exchanges with Chairman Kim Young-min, Vice Chairman Lee Jin-hyu, and Director Woo Seon-hyeong.

Jiang Deyuan stated that China and South Korea are close neighbors with close exchanges between governments and industries; China is currently promoting the high-quality development of medical devices, and the medical device industry offers broad areas for cooperation between the two countries as a technology-intensive and knowledge-intensive industry; China is willing to work alongside South Korea to strengthen communication and deepen cooperation in the medical device field and create medical device products that are safe and effective with reliable quality to bring greater well-being to the peoples of both countries.

Chairman Kim Young-min expressed his gratitude for CAMDI's warm and thoughtful reception. He highlighted that China is an important trading partner for South Korea; in the medical device sector, China is South Korea's second-largest export destination and fourth-largest import source, reflecting tight-knit bilateral cooperation; KMDIA hopes to strengthen exchange and cooperation with CAMDI to jointly serve the industry and promote industrial development.



Both sides agreed to establish a practical communication mechanism, designate bilateral liaison officers, and strengthen exchanges between the medical device industries of China and South Korea. They exchanged views on the industrial development of both countries and the opportunities they jointly face. CAMDI office head and Technical Regulations Department head also attended the meeting.
